Kiribu

Many of you will also have Twitter and Facebook accounts as well as a Kiribu account, and we’re sure you’d like to let your friends and followers know about your Kiribu exploits!

Every Kiribu member has an RSS feed associated with their Activity stream. An RSS feed is a list of all your Activity updates in a format that can be read by other websites.

The web address for your RSS feed is:

http://kiribu.com/members/<your user name here>/activity/feed/

One of the easiest ways to connect to Twitter and Facebook is using http://twitterfeed.com/

1. Sign up using an OpenID, e.g. your Gmail or Yahoo account
2. You are then immediately invited to add a feed. Give it a name (e.g. Kiribu) and enter the web address for your feed as above
3. Select ‘Advanced Settings’ to customize your feed
4. To filter your feed use the following keywords in ‘Keyword Filter’ in ‘Advanced Settings’:
   • ‘posted’ – Status updates you have posted
   • ‘added’ – Articles and Albums you have created
   • ‘updated’ – Articles and Albums you have updated
   • ‘following’ – When you follow a new member
   • ‘created’ – when you create a group
   • ‘joined’ – when you join a group
   • e.g. ‘posted added’ will only update Facebook or Twitter for status updates and when you create a new Article or Album
5. Click to continue and save your feed
6. You can now select which service you want to connect to, for example, click Twitter
7. Click Authenticate Twitter button and enter your log in details
8. To finish click ‘Create Service’
9. That’s it! Any updates to your Activity stream will now automatically be posted to Twitter!
10. Repeat from instruction ‘f’ for your Facebook account to link it too
