Kiribu allows people to find and directly contact tourism services and companies via the internet. It is important that it is clear whether an account is a business account or a regular member account. If you are opening an account to promote your business or organisation you must select a business account.
If you have a business account on Kiribu you are more than welcome to open a regular member account as well. Even business owners like to travel sometimes! You may not use your personal account to promote your business. You can only create one account per email address, so you will need to use a separate business email to your personal email.
Here follows a list of differences between a regular member account and a business member account.
All Members Can:
- add photos
- add articles
- add links to your social media pages
- update status
- create groups
- follow other members
- message anyone
- invite anyone to join
Regular Members Can:
- share your travel plans
- rate articles, photos, videos and business profiles
- get Kiribu widgets and buttons
- control privacy of personal information
Business Members Can:
- promote your business
- add a link to business website
- add a link to booking pages (e.g. Expedia, HostelWorld)
- list services provided
- provide maps and directions
- link with other businesses
- help tourists with travel information
- get a business widget for your website
