This section of the site is where you can easily find out the latest updates by people you are following, and groups you are member of. This is also where you can quickly tell your followers what you are up to!
Your Activity tab is located in area E of your home page as shown in the image on the right. You can also view other users activity when you visit their home page. It is located in the same place. Whenever you visit another user’s home page, it displays their activity page by default.
Activity includes anything that happens on the site, such as status updates, adding new articles or photos, receiving messages, new followers, group updates and more.
Update your Status
The first area you will notice is the large text box, with the title ‘What’s new <user>?’. Here you can post a message, or status update, of up to 200 characters long to share any information you like with your followers. You may wish to tell them what you did today, or where you are, how you feel, whatever you like! If you are a business you may wish to tell everyone what new offers you have.
The Activity Page
On your own activity page, there are 5 options in the secondary menu (Area F). Each option gives the following information.
- Following Only – this lists all the activity by everyone you are following
- Personal – this lists all your activity
- From Groups – this lists all the activity in the groups you are member of
- Favourites – you can click ‘Favourite’ on any activity update. Here you can just view your favourites
- Mentions – here you can view any personal mentions to you
There is also a filter at the right of this menu (Area F) where you can filter the activity list further. Try out the options to find out all the possibilities!
When you visit the activity page of another member, you will see the same options, but all the activity will be related to that member.
