Follow

The easiest way to connect with other members on Kiribu is to Follow them. You must have an account and be signed in to follow any other member on Kiribu. Any updates by a member you are following will appear in your Activity stream.

Finding a Member

You can easily search for members on Kiribu using the Search box in the Follow section of the side bar. The search will find any reference to the search term in their profile.

Search by name, but also by interest, location, language, anything. The search result displays three tabs, the results of searching ‘All Members’ on Kiribu, the results of searching members you follow (‘Following’) and results from the members that follow you (‘Followers’).

If you read or view something uploaded by another member that you like, for example a great article about somewhere you wish to visit, or some nice photos, you can click on their avatar or username to go to their home page.

Once you have found the name of the member you want to follow, click the ‘Follow Member’ icon next to their name.

Following a Member

To follow a member, click on their avatar or name and it will take you to their profile page. Then click on the ‘Follow Member’ icon in the sidebar.

Manage Connections

Select the ‘Follow’ tab in the primary menu, labelled E in the image on the right. This section has four sub menus.

Following

Here is a list of all the members you are following. You can easily change the order they are listed in the ‘Order by’ pulldown menu.

Followers

This page shows a list of all the members following you.

Invite New Members

This is where you can send out invites to invite other people to join Kiribu. They will receive an email inviting them to join Kiribu. If they follow the link, you will be their referrer for the Rewards scheme. Please only send invites to people you know. We can easily trace spam emails, and your account could be shut down if you do not follow our Community Guidelines.

Sent Invites

You can track your invitations here, and see which members you have successfully invited.

Stop Following a Member

If, for whatever reason, you no longer wish to follow someone, either visit their profile page, or find them in your Following list and click the unfollow button.

Block a Member

If someone is following you, and you would rather they didn’t, select ‘Block This Member’ from your Followers list. Read more about your privacy on Kiribu here.
